Who Should Use This Product

This product is best used for homes with square footage between 800 and 2,000 sf. 

In homes over 2,000 square feet, use one UV system per air handling unit.  If your home of office does not fall into this category, please return to the main CaluTech page to choose another model that best suit your needs.

Any building with forced air heating and/or cooling can use this system.  Anyone with rudimentary home improvement skills can install this in their home in 10 to 15 minutes.  To do this, two holes are made in the ventilation system using our stick-on template and a hole saw.  The unit is slid into the holes and the screws hold it in place.  If you don't feel comfortable doing this, a heating and air conditioning technician can do this for you.  PLEASE SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

Maintenance

Maintenance is minimal.  The lamps should be kept as dust-free as possible to ensure their maximum effectiveness.  This is easily accomplished by regular air filter changes, which should be done anyway.

For maximum effectiveness, the UV lamps should be replaced every 12 months.  They can, however, be used for up to three years, although we do not recommend this, as their effect on the sanitizing cycle will be greatly reduced.
